Beth Bennett is a dedicated public servant who currently serves as the Budget Chief at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Beth grew up in Springfield Ohio, and has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ohio University and a Master of Public Administration from The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Her career has spanned the public and nonprofit sectors, including prior roles at the Columbus City Auditor’s Office, the Ohio Office of Budget and Management, and the United Way of Central Ohio. Professionally, she is most passionate about maximizing financial resources and ensuring sustainability of organizations with incredible public missions.
Beth’s community engagement resulted in her being selected as a 2021 Fellow in the Columbus Chapter of New Leaders Council. After her fellowship, Beth served on the NLC Columbus board as Institute Co-Chair, leading the organization’s efforts to deliver programming for its 2022 cohort of fellows. Beth is honored to serve on the board of GCCHH and continue her commitment to ensuring inclusive leadership development and community building opportunities are accessible to people regardless of socioeconomic status.
Beth and her husband Matt live in Minerva Park with their pups (Murphy and Frankie) and are expecting their first child in September 2023. She starts every morning with the Wordle of the day, loves to cook, and her personal mission statement is “bring the sparkle”.
