Matthew Gerhardt

Matt was born in Circleville, Ohio, and after graduating, attended The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor’s degree.  While living in Cincinnati, Matt attended Xavier University and graduated with an MBA in 1999.  He has been in commercial banking for 25+ years and is working at First Merchants Bank.

 He has been an active participant with not-for-profit organizations.  He served on the Board of Directors for The Women’s Crisis Center in Northern Kentucky, where he was elected as Secretary, Vice President, and President.  Matt was on the Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio from 2009 to 2020, where he served two terms as Treasurer.  He joined the Board of Greater Columbus Community Helping Hands in June, 2022, and is the Board Treasurer.

 Matt resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Cindy, and his teen son, Lukas.
